Objective and Overview:

With respect to Native American culture and tradition; our ancestors, our families, and our future generations, the Native Heritage Gathering, Inc. annually' presents a traditional Pow Wow at Wickham Park Pavilion in Melbourne, Florida.

The Intention of this event is to gather our families together to live our culture while gathering our community and visitors together to share and participate in our culture in an educational environment.

Focusing on our community we present and dedicate Friday, December 7th, 2007 as school day. All educational and childcare facilities are invited to participate in our educational programs starting at 9:00 a.m. And ending at 3:30 p.m.

Programs:

A variety of programs are available for the Teachers and chaperones to rotate the students through stations at the Pow Wow grounds. Timings are set up to accommodate multiple viewings, and facilitate all groups attending.

The scheduled programs are:

  • Sothern Creek encampment
  • Tipi encampment
  • Native songs and stories
  • Native Flutes, games, dance, and songs
  • Story telling and dancing By the Logan-Jeffries Family

    Dancers will be announced soon:

  • Wanishi, (Thank you) and Grandfather's Blessings.
