The sixth Annual Melbourne PowWow sponsored by: Native Heritage Gathering, Inc., will be held at:

  • Melbourne Wickham Park Pavilion, Wickham Road next to the Community College Campus. Rain or shine we will be out dancing.

    Contest PowWow:

  • Contest prizes will be awarded across Drum, Dance, and this year the first time for best flute player. Watch for more updates on the flute contest.

  • For the frist year ever, we are having a flute playing contest. It is a money and prize contest. Winner takes all money including a walnut flute make by Jim Gilliland.

    Key of F, flute is black walnut and is 23 inches long. Bird is blue Coran. Playing hole size is from .23 inches to .29 inches. Spacing between playing holes is 1.3 inches. Click here to listen to this flute being played.

    The Melbourne NHGI PowWow at Wickham Park Pavilion is located next to the Brevard Community College Melbourne Campus, the campus and park is on the SouthEast Corner of the intersection of Wickham and Post Roads in beautiful Melbourne Florida.

    Special Pow Wow Rates at the Holiday Inn Hotel. $69 per night, off of exit 191 (interstate 95) and Wickham Rd.
